Girls and young women, usually those aged between 15 25 years, who were born, educated and are living in the Merseyside. Applications from outside this area will not be acknowledged. Preference will be given to those who are pursuing vocational or further education courses rather than other academic courses.
Both one-off and recurrent grants for leisure and creative activities, sports, welfare and the relief of poverty. Grants may be given to schoolchildren and mature students for uniforms / clothing, college students and undergraduates for uniforms / clothing, study / travel overseas and books, vocational students for uniforms / clothing and equipment / instruments. The fund is particularly interested in helping individual girls and young women of poor or deferred education to establish themselves. Grants range from £50 to £750.

Applications can be submitted directly by the individual or through a social worker, Citizens Advice, other welfare agency or college / educational establishment, Applications are considered quarterly in March, June, September and December, and should include full information about the college, course and particular circumstances.
