People in need living in Merwseyside who have a background in the voluntary sector.
One-off and recurrent grants are made ranging between £50 to £300 for people engaged in social, youth and community work (paid or voluntary) who cannot afford the relevant education or training. Priority is given to those who have left school with few, if any, qualifications. Any of the costs of education, including childcare, fares and so on can be considered. Most grants are for part-time courses, conferences, educational visits and the like.
Applications should be made at least six weeks before the grant is required. Exemptions from this may be made in emergencies. Application forms are available from the correspondent. Applications are considered all year round.
