Which students can apply?: 

Girls aged 10 to 24 who live in Merseyside and: (i) have lost one or both parents; (ii) whose parents are separated; or (iii) whose home life is especially difficult.

Typical Grants: 

Assistance is given for those at secondary school, college, university or other institutions of higher education. Grants are made for equipment, clothing, tools, instruments and books to help prepare for, or assist entry into, a profession, trade or calling. Maximum grant is £200. Single payment grants only are given.
